About Me

Picture of Mike Germain

As a CTO, I lead with care for the people behind the work, the systems that support them, and everything that connects the two. Throughout my career, I’ve learned that engineering leadership isn’t just about shipping code. It’s about creating an environment where people do their best work, where trust is real, ideas are challenged respectfully, and momentum is sustainable.

For the past two decades, I’ve led engineering teams across the healthcare sector, including early-stage startups and VC- and PE-backed companies. I work comfortably at both the strategic and technical levels. That means I can align stakeholders in a boardroom and also dig in alongside a team to solve complex problems. I focus on the space where vision becomes execution and where people need clarity, context, and support.

The Connected Engineering Method puts language to what I’ve seen work. It’s not a framework to memorize. It’s a way of leading that helps teams move forward with intention, curiosity, and shared purpose.
